Running Suse 8.2. Just downloaded Apache 1.3. It runs fine from the command line when invoked manually but refuses to start from xinetd. I've tried it from the localhost and also from another machine, neither works. Here is the entry in xinetd.conf:
To run apache from inetd/xinetd (probably only recommdable when you need it quite infrequently), you need to change the ServerType variable from standalone to something else (see http://httpd.apache.org/docs). Did you do that?
