Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup. Jim and Ed: I am not aware of any Instant Messanger Client that allows Yahoo to use voice messaging. Yahoo's offical client for LInux does not support it. Gaim and Kopete do not support it. Your best bet would be to register a feature request with bugzilla for both Kopete and Gaim.
