I reported this problem to the kernel mailing list, but got zero
I just installed the 2.6.1 kernel-default rpm. However, I can't use it as the boot fails. It seems to fail to fail just after harddisk initializing. It is hard to see what happens but it looks like the boot process complains about bad mem.... or something like that.
Exactly the same here

Is this a problem with the kernel, the rpm, something else? Is it sufficient to report the problem here and will Gerd Knorr be informed about it. Or should he be notified personnally?
I think maybe should. (As I remember, in GRUB was keyboard not fully functional with this kernel, so I could not change parameters or select different kernel - but some keys were working, like esc, spacebar) Please add my parameters too: Motherboard Chaintech 9LIF3 Processor Celeron 2,1 GHz Memory 256 + 512 MB (memory chips are different type, first 266 MHz, second 300 MHz) Integrated Intel video and audio etc. SuSE 9.0 ain
