also: /dev/sr0 is not a valid block device
Can anyone help with this so I can read my cd's?
Here is /etc/fstab /dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0 /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
Thanks, Steve. SuSE 9.0 ==============
What is /dev/cdrecorder linked too? ls -l /dev/cdrecorder *lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 2003-11-21 23:01 /dev/cdrecorder -> sr0 *(one line) If it's not /dev/sr0, then you will have to remake the symlink. If you have a fresh install, it should have done that for you. Also, you must have "ide-scsi" module loaded for burning, not "sg". Not sure where James come up with sg?
