Another advantage to HP inkjets: the printhead is built into the ink module, so if the printhead gets fouled, you can throw out the whole ink module and get a new one, with a new printhead. That way, you can also refill the ink module with impunity; if the printhead gets clogged up, thropw the whole works out and start with a new genuine HP ink module. I had to throw out an Epson printer, alsmost new, because the printhead got clogged up. It's not feasible to get anything short of a refrigerator or a washer repaired nowadays. --doug At 21:06 08/06/2003 +0200, Jan Elders wrote:

I am looking to purchase an HP Inkjet Printer and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea as to how well HP Inkjets work with Linux. I'm running SuSE v8.0 Pro.
Thanks for your assistance!
They install and work great. I would get one with a real parallel port cable, to avoid any USB glitches. I have a Dj930c and it works great with cups.
My DJ930c work great with LPRng. -- Jan Elders Nuenen the Netherlands
