This happens on a clean installation of SuSE.8.2.Pro.
Anybody knows why this is happening? or how it can be fixed?
Do you think it is SuSEFirewall2 related? I have it installed but deactivated.
I block APACHE except from localhost. When I did this, apache would not start. Go to Yast->System->runlevel editor and set "apache" on and "Enable Service". That should fix your problem.
Thanx for answering, but this is not the case. I have enabled apache, else it wouldn't fail to start. It wouldn't attempt to start at all! apache is enabled at runlevels 3 and 5. Any more ideas?
