I think the server is qmail from what I can tell from the headers. SuSE is postfix, but I see nothing there. This is a default SuSE 8.2 install. What does not make sense to me is that it works on my laptop which is also 8.2.
This is what I wanted to know, QMail will be the software running on the SMTP port, that you use to send mail, what type of server are you retrieving your mails from?
Is there a way to save the home evolution folder with the emails, do a reinstall so that evolution reinstalls everything, then get back only the emails without other config files? This is my wife's computer and she would have a fit if I lost her emails.
I doubt you'll need to reinstall, try just moving the evolution directory out of the way, starting Evolution and setting up the mail account again then you could either copy the local directory back into the new evolution directory, or you could import the various mbox files. -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.2) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org
