I currently (thanks to James Ogley) run fetchmail from init.d at boot time. Thus, I've now set it up to start as fetchmail -d 600 -m /usr/bin/procmail -f /etc/fetchmail.conf rather than specifying daemon and mda in .fetchmailrc. Will the -m option work as I expect in daemon mode (i.e. that it is used each time fetchmail is run)? I'd rather keep my existing, working configuration rather than try another way of doing the same thing, if possible. Also, as I asked, is it necessary to pass '-d %T' to procmail if I ensure that my recipe delivers all mail to a user (by using an unconditional term at its end)? It seems to work without this in normal mode when I've been testing.
