I'm trying to set up autofs to handle mounting of all my drives. I have it working for the most part. My issue right now is that it doesn't allow writing to my Zip drive. I had the same issue with my floppy but I decided just to get rid of my floppy, I don't really use it anyway.
Right now my auto.master file contains:
/media /etc/auto.media --timeout 1 /windows /etc/auto.windows --timeout 60
And my auto.media file contains:
cdrecorder -fstype=auto,ro,user,exec :/dev/cdrecorder dvd -fstype=auto,ro,user,exec :/dev/dvd zip -fstype=auto,user :/dev/hdg4
I took the options for the Zip drive from the fstab file generated by the installation. It automounts file when I enter the directory, it just won't let me write to it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Is it mounted read-only, or do you get "Permission Denied" when you try to write to the disk? -Michael
