All - Since upgrading to KDE 3.1.2, I have started seeing error messages from Konsole whenever I start a new session:
"Font `-misc-console-medium-r-normal--16-160-72-72-c-80-iso10646-1` not found Check README.linux.console for help"
I am running SuSE 8.2 Pro, Xfree86-4.3.0 (SuSE upgrade), Qt 3.2.0b1 (from suse/people) and KDE 3.1.2 (from suse/supplementary). I did notice that my /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc directory was empty, so I copied the fonts from an 8.1 install I had on another machine, no joy. A google search for the error turned up two similar complaints on the KDE mailing lists, but no answers. Anyone got any suggestions?

It appears some fonts went away! I solved mine by doing Settings>Font>Custom and selecting Lucidatypewriter or any font you like that is there and the error message went away.
Besides I like the Lucida type for the Console anyway. Good luck, Richard
Actually, I did set the fonts as you describe, and Konsole is using the font I selected, but it still gives the error message at startup, and any new Konsole instance I start from the K menu or the icon on Kicker also get the error(and don't start with my selected Font/Schema).
