yup. you might want to reseat the video card. for some reason. matrox cards in particular like to crawl out of their agp slots -- which may have something to do with newish mbs locking 'em down. and they're very vulnerable to the results of cables and so on being draped over 'em.
this is presuming that you're getting the no vid card beepcode. you didn't specify the number or their duration.

Are you getting any display at all? Reseat the memory. Do you know what your BIOS is? When you boot up (assuming you have any display at all), the very top thing you'll see is the name of the BIOS - Award, etc. Then notice the pattern and count of the beeps - they are a code. This is a hardware issue, and SuSE didn't cause it. Also, run the machine open and look at the processor fan - is it running? The multiple beeps can mean that the processor is overheating.
