Its not just the mouse wheel that stops working though, the mouse will not move at all until I go into yast2 and change the type. It will happen if I exit X and restart X without switching between computers. Neil, I wouldn't take Ken's comments too seriously, I think your comment was completely justified. Most likely a similar problem though Ken. The low end kvm switches are known to not support imps/2 very well if at all and tend to revert back to ps/2 when one switches between machines.
