I manually used the ftp in command line and got the file to dl properly, but still had problems unpacking it.

You didn't accidently transfer it in ASCII mode by any chance?
Ya, I thought that might have been what had happened, I've had that happen before, but I always issue the "binary" flag when using ftp. It's behaving as it should now, but still a bit kludgy IMHO. Wine is working as it should and the program installed and is running properly so far, cut scene is the test, and there are occasional skips in the sound at times. So far, between RH and Mandrake I'm undecided. There are nice features in both, and yet I can see how this is not amenable to new users. Like I said, I'm probably rather biased, but SuSE seems to be much more well rounded relating to install of the OS and various configuration methods available. I would like to shakedown RH some more before I move on to Gentoo and a few others. I still can't figure out why both moz in gnome and konq in kde are acting the way they do when dl'ing files/packages. As I said, I rebooted and it's acting more as expected, but don't ask me why. Cheers, Curtis. l -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+fU+q7WVLiDrqeksRAgIkAKDWokwWRuE61TwJy8mYmw2YIO2AmgCglhlN dLs+EWNJ0Tb9iKC9kvEND/0= =7Ov7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
