Short answer: You can't. There are unfortunately a few libraries that are required for Gnome2.2 that are not in SuSE 8.1. If you search the list archive, there is a more in-depth answer from the chap over at www.usr-local-bin.org. Nothing stopping you from using Garnome and installing the whole of Gnome2.2 in your home-directory though. ;-) On Thu, 2003-02-20 at 09:38, Andrei Verovski wrote:
Hi,
Anyone knows where I can download Gnome 2.2 for SuSE 8.1?
On the Gnome.org site there are precomplied binaries for Debian, Mandrake, Gentoo, but not SuSE.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
