Has anyone else tried the new linux version of Opera 7? I downloaded it today after reading about it on The Register and it's pretty nice, and seems stable here (SuSE 8.1).
Someone asked me off the list whether it supported Java. Well, I've had a quick look and it *should* do, but seems not to work with my setup (j2re1.4.1_01, ns4 plugin), checked on the news.bbc.co.uk site, although mozilla does work on this page. I checked the opera script that sets the java path and inserted my plugin path, but it seems not to work.
Someone with more knowledge than me could probably get it to work, or at least tell us whether or not it will work!
It accepted the directory I pointed it to... (there's a test option) but when I found that javascript doesn't even work, I gave up on Version 7.
