Konqueror looks at /opt/mozilla/plugins (which I downloaded when Moz asked for it the first time) for the java plugin and works fine. Moz gives me:
'This page contains information of a type (application/x-java-vm) that can only be viewed with the appropriate Plug-in. Click OK to download Plugin.'
What's happening?
What version of konqueror and what version of mozilla are you using? I think you're seeing the old problem with gcc 3.2. Since java is compiled with an older gcc it doesn't work in a mozilla compiled with 3.2, which the one in SuSE 8.1 is.
Konqueror 3.0.3 Mozilla 1.0.1 Build ID: 2002091116-SuSE (The ones supplied on the 8.1 CD's)
Do I need a newer Moz?
You need one compiled with gcc 2.95.3. I would suggest 1.2.1 as supplied
by mozilla.org. Those versions have always worked best for me anyway.
