A quick/dirty method would be to allow root shell (rsh) access to all machines in your NIS netgroup, then use a remote shell script to run the "rpm -i" command on each target in turn. Just another skeleton to work with (plenty in my cupboard ;-)

A more secure way than rsh would be ssh. You can do anything (plus) with ssh that you can do with rsh. Just use ssh and the commandline rpm tool and you are all set. -- Kelly L. Fulks Home Account
