Yes, the list of rpms (plugins and others) for xine is long... I guess is some kind of modular approach. And yes, it took me 10 minutes to enter them by hand from the konsole using rpm -i... although the fact that I am a 2 fingered typist has a lot to do with it (and no, I am not an amputee or anything like that, is just lack of eye-hand coordination). But now is done, and I just have to click on an icon on my desktop or enter xine from the console and that is it... and xine is the app that resembles WinDVD the most (I've used Ogle, MPlayer and even LiVid OMS)... more over, Xine plays Divx and Xvid too w/o any problems.
