Try / This will work if you downloaded the file .S.u.S.E-disk-001.2002061414 (wget ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/8.0/.S.u.S.E-disk-0 01.2002061414) and put it under the root of your vfat-partition. The installation program wants to know what direcory on the partition the directory suse is in, and that is / unless you put it under some other directory.
If you have't got .S.u.S.E-disk-001.2002061414, the best way is to make a directory, for example hammarbynisse, move suse and .S.u.S.E-disk-001.2002061414 to that directory and answer /hammarbynisse when asked for installation directory. If you can't mount the partition that is because you didn't load the vfat module.
Good luck

Hey thanks -- that worked. However, now I've run into another problem. The installation works, but it can't find the source (which is stored in /dev/hda4), because the installation mounts /dev/hda4 as /mnt/windowsD. I have tried to launch a new shell and manually umount the /mnt/windowsD, however, after that I cannot get back to the install screen. If I hit CTRL+ALT 1, it just says reading display (and halts). My only choice is to reboot, after which I am back to where I started. Can anyone help me with this situation? I am so close, Thanks, Burhan
