when i try to play an mp3 with mpg123, it says
... Playing MPEG stream from 05-jejune-2000_miles-rh.mp3 ... MPEG 1.0 layer III, 192 kbit/s, 44100 Hz stereo
[8:33] Decoding of 05-jejune-2000_miles-rh.mp3 finished.
the entire thing finishes in about 10 seconds. it looks eerily like it's using the diskwriter output but i don't see any wavefiles. i've also set the outputs of mpg123 to both /dev/audio and /dev/dsp0 and still no sound.
help?
thank you very much, xiaolei
I have a similar problem after upgrading from 7.2 to 8.0. I'm using gramofile to record LP's to wav files. Under 7.2, everything was working fine. Now, when I play the wav files that I just recorded under 8.0, they sound like when playing a 33 rpm LP with the turntable set to 78 rpm's. My sound card is working because I can play wav files I made when I had 7.2 installed. Any ideas? Thank you. - -- Alfredo J.
