How can I play mpg in SuSE 8. If I tries to start a mpg file, no movie is started, do I have to set up Konqueror to start it or what. I use Xine to see my dvd, but there must be a way that SuSE can so it, since they have left Xine out this time.
I really like gtv. It's in package smpeg-gtv-0.4.4-245 on SuSE 8.0. One of the nice things is a little "double" button that scales up the window size by a factor of 2. With other packages, I can size the window by hand, but I always skew it one way or the other.

MPlayer has something similar.. if you right click on the Video window, you get a little popup menu, you can choose between Normal, Double and FullScreen. Haven't tried gtv. How well does it handle the multitude of audio and video codecs? C.
