My computer is part of an ethernet network. This is my first time installing Linux on my computer, and the internet doesn't work after booting. I get a message on the console log saying that the USB device is not detected by any driver.
The "USB device not detected..." is a common warning about some USB device not being immediately recognized, but that doesn't mean it won't work. Are you using a USB network card? If not, then the USB message doesn't have anything to do with your connection to the Internet.
I tried to alter the order of the boot set-up by going into /etc/inet.d/network and I did the changes instructed but the file /etc/inet.d/usbmgr is not present at all, so I was unable to continue.
What version of SuSE are you using? Best Regards, Keith -- LPIC-2, MCSE, N+ Got spam? Get spastic http://spastic.sourceforge.net
