USB device not detected by any driver
My computer is part of an ethernet network. This is my first time installing Linux on my computer, and the internet doesn't work after booting. I get a message on the console log saying that the USB device is not detected by any driver. I tried to alter the order of the boot set-up by going into /etc/inet.d/network and I did the changes instructed but the file /etc/inet.d/usbmgr is not present at all, so I was unable to continue. Could this be the reason why my computer does not connect to the internet? Thanks, Mary _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com

The "USB device not detected..." is a common warning about some USB device not being immediately recognized, but that doesn't mean it won't work. Are you using a USB network card? If not, then the USB message doesn't have anything to do with your connection to the Internet.
