Hi Tor -----Original Message----- From: Tor Sigurdsson [mailto:tosi@orku.net] Sent: 03 May 2002 00:40 To: keith Subject: Re: [SLE] Please Help a Newbie - move file from Windows to Linux -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 What is the behaviour of your mouse when you boot the machine ? Erratic movement ? No movement at all ? Or no mouse cursor at all ? The mouse is displayed in the middle of the screen with No Movement What so ever. And just for everyone else, it is a radio-controlled mouse and keyboard. Their respective connectors from the transceiver are plugged into their respective PS/2 sockets not USB ports. Also I am not using a KVM switch. The keyboard works perfectly at all times. The mouse functioned perfectly during the installation process but then ceased to work following a re-boot. I remember seeing the mouse protocol used during the installation as being /dev/psaux and have tried PS/2 and usbmouse, even unplugging the mouse and then reconnecting it to see if it is detected as plug-and-play in all three protocols but to no avail. Please bear it in mind that those of us new to Linux don't know all the commands and shortcuts so would you please be a little more explicate when explaining what we should try. Regards Keith Jacobs
