Im sorry everyone for not posting the answer to the list. Me and B. Marsh has figured out the problem to this. it seems Mr. Thomas, and Mike Cleary are using the the utf-8 fonts instead of iso-8859-1 fonts. Now some people say they can read these fonts just fine, and I can too, but only when I increase my font size to 14 or greater. A simple solution is to have everyone make sure they are using the iso-8859-1 fonts, but then what I don't know is if they can do it or not because of their languages. Im not sure, maybe I can check with these individuals and see if it is possible for them to make the switch. Mr. Thomas and Mike, would this be possible? Thanks -- David M. Yes, I' m receiving garbled fonts too.
I'm using SuSE 6.4, xf86 3.3.6, Kmail and KDE 2.1.1.
It seems that something is misconfigured in my machine. Messages from some other posters shows weird fonts too.
BTW, Konqueror in some sites (babelfish.altavista.com , for instance) shows very ugly fonts. The same site is fine with Netscape.
I have tried every setting (except the right one) in kde, kmail and konqueror configuration menus with no results.

Hello all, is anyone else receiving garbled fonts from Thomas Adam or is it my machine? Everytime I receive a mail from Thomas, I have to hit the reply button to read it. Is this my machine or his? I can't paste the actual look of his mail over here, since my fonts override his when replying or pasting.
no offense Thomas, just making sure my machine is Ok.
