As Stewart has written, I use Codeweavers version of wine and I am
able to run Quicken 2000 Deluxe, sol, Delphi5 Prof, but not much
else.

Hi,
I use the Codeweavers release, but only for one programme - Quicken - which is the reason for an entire Windows setup/dual boot etc.
i have found generally that once you find a version that does what you want stick with it. I have yet to find a version of Wine that will cope with attemting to open any Win programme that takes your fancy.
