At this point it just stops and I have to do a hard reboot. Any ideas?
Does this happen when you boot from CD or hard disk? Have you tried booting from the second CD?

Hi Lenz et al... No, I used both the normal bootdisk and the i386 disk from CD#1. If it would help I can copy down all the numbers and email them to you.
