You've got to be kidding me? That's it? Ha!
I'll give it a try and see what happens! I've been wondering about this one
for a while!
Thanks again!

I know!! (Hand up, waving!!)
setterm -blank 0
Put it in one of the startupscripts and you'll never have a blanked console
again. :)

Anyone know how to disable console blanking?
I do not have DPMS mode enabled, or APM installed on the box, yet the console still "blanks" after a few minutes of inactivity. I have looked all over, and I can find nothing explaining how to disable it!
I know it's not putting the monitor to sleep, because I don't get the amber LED on the monitor. It just blanks the screen!
