I've been changing /etc/lilo.conf and /etc/module.conf so much lately in order to get my cd-burner working. I wonder if I've messed up the kernel. The stuff above looks like a bunch of links. Correct? Thanks for your help. Mike

OS is Suse 7.0 I have been trying to configure my Acer CRW1208A so that I can use it's writing/burning capabilities. Since I have not been successful, I figured maybe I should check out my kernel configuration for scsi support, or scsi emulation support.
I can't reconfigure my kernel anymore. Check out the results when i do all the different make commands:
almost:~ # cd /usr/src/linux almost:/usr/src/linux # make config make: *** No rule to make target `config'. Stop. almost:/usr/src/linux # make menuconfig make: *** No rule to make target `menuconfig'. Stop. almost:/usr/src/linux # make xconfig make: *** No rule to make target `xconfig'. Stop. almost:/usr/src/linux #
What's happening here? What do I have to do to be able to configure the kernel?
Thanks for your time.
