In Konqueror: Right mouse on Settings-->Configure-->file associations-->text Then choose html and set the app you want to handle them (Konqueror or Netscape or ???) Do the same for other associations you may not have set. JLK On Saturday 28 April 2001 01:04, Jyry Kuukkanen wrote:

What on earth are you talking about? What program for example? So far you've only mentioned KDE, nothing like that happens when I write a www adress in KMail for example.

Opera. I could't reproduce the problem with Konqueror now, but with Opera: yes. Every time you touch the address box, a popup menu comes up in the low-right corner saying: "web url: action for <add address here>" and then asks to choose wheter I want to open it in Netscape or Konqueror. Very annoying feature.

Hi
How do I - once and for all - switch off this freaking popup menu whenever I type in a www address or so? What's the feature called? Is it KDE thing at all? I just want to get rid of it.
This feature is extremely close to M$ paper clip c*ap. Who ever came up with this idea should be be sterialised -- and several times to make sure.
