Hi How do I - once and for all - switch off this freaking popup menu whenever I type in a www address or so? What's the feature called? Is it KDE thing at all? I just want to get rid of it. This feature is extremely close to M$ paper clip c*ap. Who ever came up with this idea should be be sterialised -- and several times to make sure. --Jyry Espoon oma alakoululaisten julkaisu: Eemeiliainen.
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- What on earth are you talking about? What program for example? So far you've only mentioned KDE, nothing like that happens when I write a www adress in KMail for example. Cheers, ei On Friday 27 April 2001 19:03, you wrote:

Check your clipboard settings in KDE. It happened on mine and I had to disable somthing (don't remember what I changed) in the clipboard and it stopped popping up. -michael -----Original Message----- From: EagleIce [mailto:eagleice@telia.com] Sent: Friday, April 27, 2001 12:13 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] KDE(?) url popup -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- What on earth are you talking about? Thanks. Right cliking on the clipboard and de-selecting "Actions enabled" sorted that out. I think it might be nice to have that popup menu titled something like "Clipboard" to get a clue how to get rid of it. Anyway, it should be disabled by default. --jq

Opera. I could't reproduce the problem with Konqueror now, but with Opera: yes. Every time you touch the address box, a popup menu comes up in the low-right corner saying: "web url: action for <add address here>" and then asks to choose wheter I want to open it in Netscape or Konqueror. Very annoying feature.

In Konqueror: Right mouse on Settings-->Configure-->file associations-->text Then choose html and set the app you want to handle them (Konqueror or Netscape or ???) Do the same for other associations you may not have set. JLK On Saturday 28 April 2001 01:04, Jyry Kuukkanen wrote:

Just right click the clipboard icon and I'm sure you'll find your way from there. My desktop is in swedish so there is no point in me telling you where to click. :-) Olle Viksten
