When I am offline, and I type an email into Netscape and hit send, I get an error back from sendmail (via Netscape) saying the domain for my (the sender's) address is not valid. The domain is yahoo.co.uk, which, when offline, is indeed not going to be visible. When I go online it works fine.
What can I do about this?
Forgive me if I have not understood your setup or needs properly, but isn't the simple answer to select "send later" rather than "send" when you are working offline ? The draft will be saved to your "Unsent Messages" folder and can be sent when next you are online. I don't use Netscape as my emailer any longer (I find Sylpheed to be excellent), but I think that is what I used to do. You may need to collect your mail before sending any from the Unsent Folders, btw, because the Yahoo mail server requires user authentication before it will accept new mail.
