I've installed the Linux version of AOL Instant Messenger (release 1.1.112) and I can't get the sounds that indicate a message has been received or sent. I'm running KDE2, which has a specific section in the Control Center (under System Notifications) for AIM. I can get other system notification sounds to work, but not the ones for AIM. I've checked off the "play sound" option under "you have received a message" and associated a sound with that message. I can even play the sound from the Control Center. But I don't get it when I actually receive a message. Is anyone else using AIM? Do you get the sounds? Paul Abrahams
