The linux sources folder only seems to contain those for the 2.2.16-SuSE kernel, which isn't really much help, as you've already found.
If the versions of running kernel and sources match, you can simply do a 'make cloneconfig'. This will get the configuration from the currently running kernel and then will do a 'make oldconfig'.
