Hi, I'm trying to compile a driver for a BDM cable and it requires the includes for the kernel that's running. When I installed SuSE 7.0 YAST decided I needed the SMP kernel but know I can't find the includes for the kernel (/usr/src/linux-2.2.16.SuSE is not SMP) Anyone have any suggestions? Hello, Christopher. I asked a very similar question to this some weeks ago when I tried to compile the Nvidia driver. I have the SMP kernel as I have a dual CPU box. I didn't get an answer then, but hopefully some one who knows the answer is following the list today. The linux sources folder only seems to contain those for the 2.2.16-SuSE kernel, which isn't really much help, as you've already found. Bye for now, Stuart. -----Original Message----- From: suse-linux-e-return-50620-stuart=yorkshirepudding.com@lists.suse.com [mailto:suse-linux-e-return-50620-stuart=yorkshirepudding.com@lists.suse.com ]On Behalf Of Jowell, Chris {AVL~Roswell} Sent: Thursday, March 15, 2001 2:34 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: [SLE] includes for 2.2.16-SMP Hi, Im trying to compile a driver for a BDM cable and it requires the includes for the kernel thats running. If the versions of running kernel and sources match, you can simply do a 'make cloneconfig'. This will get the configuration from the currently running kernel and then will do a 'make oldconfig'. So you get a configuration for your source that matches the running kernel. -- Penguins to save the dinosaurs -- Handelsblatt on Linux for S/390
