Personally, I'm having an uncharacteristically tought time getting my Zip100 going is SuSE 7.1 and I'm a little cranky. That's because I'm spoiled. I've been use to rapid flawless installs so long now, that I discovered some of the fundamentals have slipped me. Most of my problems with the Zip will, I think, boil down to my own arrogance in not reading the READMEs before I installed. In fact, I haven't looked at the SuSE manual in since 6.1 or 6.2. I'm looking at the 7.1 manual to night. ;-)
But, even on it's best day, M$ can't approach SuSE on SuSE's (mine) worse day.
Yes, because on SuSE's worst day one can still eventually solve one's problems given supported hardware. And with enough expertise even problems with unsupported hardware can be eventually resolved. Quite a refreshing difference than to be held at the mercy of a proprietary software provider. Greg
