zone "ultimatehwf.net" { type master; file "/var/named/ultimatehwf.net.hosts";
file"ultimatehwf.net.hosts??"; (I usually use .zone instead, the /var/named/ is not really necessary)
Yeah, webmin did all this strange stuff to it. I changed the name of the file, and all the entries in it. I also changed named.conf to look for the right file.
I am not expert on DNS, just forced to make thing works at work, this is so far what I figured out, it may not be the best solution and may still have error, good luck to you.
Well, i greatly appreciate your help, Dennis, I did the changes you suggested, and now, at least, when I do 'dig @ns1.si3.net ultimatehwf.net all all' it tells me that ns1.si3.net has the zone info, but when I type http://www.ultimatehwf.net/ or http://ultimatehwf.net/ into a web browser, it can't find the host. I do have an entry in Apache for it, but it won't work. Would you mind trying to go to it in your browser and letting me know if it works? Thanbks again.
No, unfortunately it isn't. Let me see if I can come up with anything informative. Greg
