Hi all, I have the domain 'ultimatehwf.net' setup on two DNS servers here (ns1 and ns2), both running Linux, and Bind 8. I'm setting them up with Webmin .83. I added the zones to both ns1 and ns2. A whois search for the domain shows that both name servers are correct. It shows ns1.si3.net and ns2.si3.net. It's shown that for the past couple of weeks, but when I type in either http://ultimatehwf.net/ or http://www.ultimatehwf.net/ into a web browser, it says the server cannot be found. I have also said up a virtual server with Apache, and the IP Address in DNS points to the correct one, but it won't resolve. I also added several other domains at the same time with the same exact specs, and they work just fine. If anyone knows the problem, or can help, please do. Thanks in advance.
It would probably help if you provided your BIND configuration files, named.conf, and your zone files. ns1.si2.net and ns2.si3.net are showing as authoritative but there's not much more to go on. Greg

Yeah, webmin did all this strange stuff to it. I changed the name of the file, and all the entries in it. I also changed named.conf to look for the right file.

Well, i greatly appreciate your help, Dennis, I did the changes you suggested, and now, at least, when I do 'dig @ns1.si3.net ultimatehwf.net all all' it tells me that ns1.si3.net has the zone info, but when I type http://www.ultimatehwf.net/ or http://ultimatehwf.net/ into a web browser, it can't find the host. I do have an entry in Apache for it, but it won't work. Would you mind trying to go to it in your browser and letting me know if it works? No, unfortunately it isn't. Let me see if I can come up with anything informative. Greg
