It would probably help if you provided your BIND configuration files, named.conf, and your zone files. ns1.si2.net and ns2.si3.net are showing as authoritative but there's not much more to go on.
Here is the contents of my /var/named/ultimatehwf.net.hosts file:
$ttl 38400
I'm not sure, but I use $TTL instead of $ttl?
ultimatehwf.net. IN SOA ns1.si3.net. abryant.si3.net. ( 977098684 10800 3600 432000 38400 ) ultimatehwf.net. IN NS ns1.si3.net.
ultimatehwf.net. IN NS ns2.si3.net. (immediately after your first NS statement) <x> www.ultimatehwf.net. IN A 208.145.116.18 <x> ultimatehwf.net. IN A 208.145.116.18 IN A 208.145.116.18 www IN A 208.145.116.18
ftp.ultimatehwf.net. IN A 208.145.116.18
ftp IN A 208.145.116.18 <x> ultimatehwf.net. IN NS ns2.si3.net

ultimatehwf.net. IN MX 10 mail.ultimatehwf.net ultimatehwf.net. IN MX 20 mail.si3.net
The 'ultimatehwf.net' is not needed. Just IN MX....
ns1.ultimatehwf.net. IN A 208.145.116.16 ns2.ultimatehwf.net. IN A 208.145.116.18
and my named.conf file is below, the 'ultimatehwf.net' domain is toward the end:
// generated by named-bootconf.pl
options { directory "/var/named"; /* * If there is a firewall between you and nameservers you want * to talk to, you might need to uncomment the query-source * directive below. Previous versions of BIND always asked * questions using port 53, but BIND 8.1 uses an unprivileged * port by default. */ // query-source address * port 53; };
From here:

zone "ultimatehwf.net" { type master; file "/var/named/ultimatehwf.net.hosts";
file"ultimatehwf.net.hosts??"; (I usually use .zone instead, the /var/named/ is not really necessary)
also-notify { 208.145.116.18; }; notify yes; };
zone "linux-root.com" { type master; file "/var/named/linux-root.com.hosts";
Same as above.
also-notify { 208.145.116.18; }; notify yes; };
<p>I am not expert on DNS, just forced to make thing works at work, this is so far what I figured out, it may not be the best solution and may still have error, good luck to you. Dennis @Singapore
