Subject: gtk+ & glib
I am trying to compile gtk+ 1.2.8 and glib 1.2.8 on a SuSE 6.4 (2.2.17)
system (due to a dependency). I have done the following, all as root:
1. attempted to compile gtk+, it stated that I needed glib 1.2.8
2. grabbed the glib 1.2.8 tarball from gtk.org, compiled this without any
apparent errors
3. attempted to compile gtk+, it stated that I needed glib 1.2.8
4. removed the version installed with SuSE via yast (thinking that gtk+
might be seeing this version)
5. compiled glib 1.2.8 without apparent errors
6. attempted to compile gtk+, it stated that I needed glib 1.2.8
Can anyone see where I am going wrong with this?!?
Please help before with one puts me in the mental ward.
Thanks!
