First of all thanks for all the info. One final question before I start the fun part. On the Vmware site it does mention your above mentioned VMWARE tools ans it also mentions the following file.
vmware-linux-tools.tar.gz
Is this file available as an rpm in the SuSE CD or do I have to get it from VMWARE site
AFAIK, linux-tools are included in RPM, no need to download/install them separately if you install RPM. -Kastus
