Hi, I have had a similar problem in the past, the problem is typically that you do not have the gateway IP number set. On SuSE this is set in route.conf you should have a line like: default ROUTERS_IP_NUMBER_HERE This tells your linux box where to send the packets to if it is to a no local IP number. I have forgotten to set this on a significant number of occassions and spent an afternoon scratching my head as to what is wrong. hope this helps Andy -- Molecular & Cellular Biology, Division of Biomedical Sciences, Queen Mary & Westfield College, Mile End Road, London E1 4NS.
