Unfortunately, the library names are different. As long as you know that you have to correct libraries install you can use the --nodeps option to install the package. I switch over fronm Redhat to SuSE when 6.0 came out and have yet to find a Redhat RPM that I can't use.
I have used several redhat RPMs successfully with no command line options (e.g., SDL, NEdit, XMMS, etc). The only difference at all that I have noticed is that the package documentation goes to /usr/doc instead of /usr/doc/packages. Can you give an example of what you mean? david. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
