Hello again. I want to add that closed source rdbms' doesn't irritate me. I love open source software. But there is one important point about databases and accounting software. Those problems were solved twenty and thirty years ago. I know mysql is a fine database system and postgres is a fine rdbms. But I need a better solution. Of course there are oracle, illustra etc. Tuncay Baskan wrote:
Hello all. I'm looking for a high performance, stable and transaction supporting rdbms for Linux. ;-) I know I want too much. mysql is good candidate for speed. But since it doesn't support transcations and this project contains some financial operations I need a more advanced database server. I thinking about Sybase and Interbase. If you have experiences about these databases please let me know.
Regards.
