George: You may be able to select a range of urls in your history list and simply press the delete key on your keyboard. I haven't had a gui in Linux myself for 4 years now and am working only on a text console so I may be wrong about this. I only know that it works in windows. You just click on the first url, hold down the shift key and click on the last url. Then press the delete key.
