I thought KDE has always been alpha.. I don't know how something that resembles M$ can be beautiful, but to each his own..

Michael, The KDE is no more like Windows than it is like the CDE, GNOME, or Mac OS. When I started using the KDE there was no GTK to speek of, and no GNOME either. I've been using it for two years now, and it is quite reliable. certainly way above "alpha" quality software. The KDE2 adds many of the features we expect in a modern desk top, as well as some very slick look and feel features. I sure hope SuSE ships the lattest alpha with the next release. Is UT still infested with thoed d@mn black birds?
