I installed XFree-4.0 and I am starting to feel the differences -- mostly good but some not so good. So, to the questions/problems:
- YaST related, System Administration, Settings of susewm --> it tells me that: "System wide default window manager: NO WM found" Before I had several choices, e.g., kde. (probably related, my root account no longer uses kde, but twm...)
Looks like "wmlist" is missing in XFree86 4.0. This script lists all available window managers.
- YaST related, when I try to manage users and ask for a list of users, it goes back to the menu, rather than give me the list.
Hmm, this is odd? I do not see the relation to XFree86 4.0 here.
- Finally, I now get the following error message (not before, and I only installed XFree-4.0):
Sorry, your X11 Server lacks DPMS Support
Where can I fix this? Using sax2 (great product) and selecting dpms and shutdown time, suspend time and so on does not seem to solve the problem.
Probably the X-Server has not been compiled with DPMS support?
