Hello, I am trying to change TrueType file names, which are all in caps to all small letters using Linux commands. I typed the command ls *TTF | while read f this gave me
I then typed the command [ -f "$f" ] && mv -f "$f" "`echo \"$f\" | tr A-Z a-z`" quotes and all after the '>' so that it looked like
[ -f "$f" ] && mv -f "$f" "`echo \"$f\" | tr A-Z a-z`"
But the file names are not changing to small letters. I know that copying to DOS FAT 16 will do this too, but I need the Linux way. I do not know what I am doing, as I found this on a Font HOW-TO site.
