I updated my 7.1 system last night and didn't have this problem.
I checked, and indeed the 6.4 and 7.0 RPMs do not have an s bit on suexec. But apparently they never had.
That's true -- but SuSEconfig sets the permissions of the suexec binary according to /etc/permissions.* and the setting of CHECK_PERMISSIONS and PERMISSION_SECURITY in /etc/rc.config. Thus, SuSEconfig needs to be run. Alternatively chkstat [-set] /etc/permissions.secure can be used. Peter -- VFS: Busy inodes after unmount. Self-destruct in 5 seconds. Have a nice day...
