No, I don't think that's the case. I think we turn people off to Linux if we give them the feeling, that they alway need the help of some "experts" to solve theyr problems. We rather need to show them where they can find the information they need and that one should first try to solve a problem by himself and then ask. And we're not talking about some exotic package but about the kernel, wich is very well documented in the SuSE-Manuals, online, in the annoucements etc.. If a user is smart enough to make it to this list, then they should be smart enought, too, to make it to the right list or to find the docu. And being OT can be unpolite, too.
